To please Baba Bholenath you are also fasting on Monday, then by completing this fast by reading or listening to the Shiva Vrat Katha. Mode of fasting Monday: According to Narada Purana, in the fast on Monday, the person should take bath in the morning and give water and bell letter to Shiva and worship Shiva-Gauri. After Shiva Pooja, you should listen to a fast story on Monday. After this, only one meal should be eaten. Normally the fast of Monday goes on the third day of the fasting day. That is kept until evening. There are three types of fasting on Monday, fasting every Monday, mild Pradosha fast and fast of sixteen Mondays. There is only one method for all these vows. Fast story: For a time, there was a moneylender in a city. There was no shortage of money in his house but he had no child, so he was very sad. He used to keep fast on every Monday for getting son and worshiping Lord Shiva and Parvati, with full devotion, went to Shiva temple. One day Parvati was pleased to see her devotion and Lord Shiva urged her to complete the desire of that moneylender. Upon hearing the wish of Parvati Ji, Lord Shiva said, 'O Parvati, every creature in this world gets the fruits of his deeds and whose fortune has to suffer.' But Parvati ji expressed the desire to fulfill her desire to keep the money of the devotee worshiped. On the insistence of Mata Parvati, Shivaji gave a boon to the moneylender for giving birth to a son, but also said that the age of his child would be only twelve years. The moneylender was listening to the conversation of Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva. He neither was happy nor did he regret He kept worshiping Shiva as before. After some time, a son was born to the moneylender's house. When the child was eleven years old, he was sent to Kashi to read. The moneylender called the son's maternal uncle and gave him a lot of money and said that you take this child for realization of Kashi and get a sacrifice in the way. Wherever you sacrifice, give food to Brahmins and give them dakshina. Both maternal and maternal astrologers made similar sacrifices and moved towards Kashi to give donations to the Brahmins. In the night, there was a city where the daughter of the King's daughter was married. But the princess who was going to get married to her was with one eye. the prince thought of a plan to hide the fact that his son did not have sight in one eye. Seeing the son of a moneylender, he got an idea in his mind. He thought why not give this boy a groom and get married to the princess. After the marriage, I will give it money and send the princess to her town. The boy was dressed in groom's clothes and got married to the princess. But Sahukar's son was honest. It did not seem fair to him. After getting the opportunity, he wrote on the saddle of princess: "Your marriage has happened to me, but with the Prince you will be sent to do with one eye. I am going to read Kashi. When the princess read the things written on Churni, she told this to her parents. The king did not leave his daughter, who went back to the procession. On the other hand, the moneylender's son and his uncle reached Kashi and he went there and offered a sacrifice. On the day the boy was 12 years old, the yagna was kept. The boy told his uncle that my health is not well. Mama said that you go in and sleep. According to Shiva's blessing, the soul of that child was out in a while. Seeing the dead nephew, his maternal uncle started moaning. Coincidentally, Shivaji and Mata Parvati were going from there the same way. Parvati said to God- Swami, I can not bear the tone of crying. You must remove the pain of this person. When Shivaji went near the dead child, he said that he is the son of that moneylender, whom I gave the blessing of the age of 12 years. Now its age has passed. But Bhavnor Mata Parvati said from the mother-in-law, O Mahadev, if you please give this child more age or else its parents will die even in disagreement. On the request of Mata Parvati, Lord Shiva gave a boon to the boy to be alive. The boy got alive by Shiva's grace. After finishing education, the boy headed towards his town with maternal uncle. Both of them reached the same town, where they were married. He organized yagna in that city too. The boy's father-in-law recognized him and took him to the palace and arranged for him and sent his daughter away. Here the moneylender and his wife were hungry and thirsty waiting for the son. He had kept on saying that if he got the news of his son's death, he would give up his life but he was very pleased to hear the news of his son being alive. That night Lord Shiva came in the dream of the trader and said - this is the ritual I have given your son a long life by being pleased to hear your fasting and fasting on Monday. Similarly, whoever makes a fast on Monday or hears stories and reads all his sorrows and ends all the desires.
